Why did you get into dentistry?
Like most people I actually did not know what I wanted to do when I was younger. I simply wanted to excel at what I do. Working with patients since dental school has sparked my passion for dentistry. I found it and still find it, after all these years, to be very rewarding to help alleviate pain and create beautiful smiles.
What is the one piece of advice you’d give someone about oral health and hygiene?
Set realistic goals! If you are not a regular flosser, for example, start with once a week or even a fortnight and slowly build up the frequency without overwhelming yourself. Any small effort counts.

What do you love to do in your spare time?
I love to keep active – hiking, playing tennis and netball. Having said that I also enjoy evening couch time with my better half Rico and my tabby cat Holly.
