Full process + next steps:
● Step 1: We take your impression at training day and collect your details.
● Step 2: We call you to book a 510 minute appointment at our Camp Hill clinic to finalise the fit, confirm comfort, and take payment if needed.
● Then youre ready to train and play with confidence. -
Claim your mouthguard on your health fund :
● If you have private health insurance with dental extras, you may be able to claim your mouthguard using item code 151.
● We recommend calling your health fund to confirm youre covered and have benefits available.
● If youre covered for 151, your mouthguard will be free of charge (no out-of-pocket cost). -
How to wear your mouthguard (comfort + fit tips) :
● Wear your mouthguard every time you train or play. It should feel snug and secure, stay in place without biting down, and allow you to breathe and talk comfortably.
● If it rubs, feels bulky, or makes your child gag, let us know a proper fit matters. -
How to clean & care (keep it fresh + safe) :
● Rinse your mouthguard with cool to lukewarm water after each use and let it air dry.
● Store it in the free case we provide you.
● Avoid hot water, dishwashers, microwaves, and leaving it in a hot car, as heat can warp the fit. -
What to do if it feels loose :
● Stop using the mouthguard and contact us. A loose mouthguard may not protect properly, and changes in teeth (especially in growing kids) can affect the fit.
● We can assess it and advise whether an adjustment or replacement is needed. -
Colour options + pricing:
● Please choose from the colours provided on your fitting day.
● Other colours may be available on request (additional costs may apply).
Cost: FREE with eligible health fund dental cover(subject to your level of cover), or $179 without a health fund.

When you use a store-bought mouthguard, you run the risk of causing further injury with it slipping in the mouth or lodging in the throat.

If you or your kids are playing contact sports, it’s time to get in touch!
We’ll give you a complete oral health assessment to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy or if we need to address any problems before making the custom fitted guard.
We then take a mould of your top teeth to design and manufacture your custom mouth guard – you or your child can even select the colour of your mouthguard (depending on availability)!
Your mouthguard will be ready in 1-2 weeks, and you will come back for a fitting appointment in case any adjustments are needed, and that’s it!
How Much Does it Cost?
Custom mouthguards start at approximately $200 however, if you have private health insurance, some or all of this may be covered by your policy, or if you are eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS), the cost may be covered in part also.
